A Singaporean man has been left stranded in the Philippines after discovering that his marriage to a Filipina woman was allegedly not valid.
Content creator ItsCarrie first posted about the man, Hasbi, on TikTok on Sept 20.
Hasbi, 50, said that he believed his marriage to his Filipina partner was genuine, but only recently discovered that it was fake, wrote content creator Carrie Laine Abad.
She shared that Hasbi had been staying in a mosque to avoid becoming homeless.
In the video, Hasbi can be seen showing the TikToker around the mosque's premises with his Singapore passport in hand.
The video footage also shows him packing his passport into one of two bags containing his belongings.

Hasbi shared in an interview posted by Abad on Sept 21 that he met a Filipina woman in Singapore and wanted to marry her.
However, he alleged that the process was too "long", so the pair decided to move to the Philippines to get married instead.
He said they had planned to hold another marriage ceremony in Singapore, but the relationship ended before that could take place.
"I don't have my marriage certificate," he told the TikToker, laughing in embarrassment.
"So you want to go back to your country?" asked Abad.
"Of course," Hasbi replied.
He added that he wanted to return to Singapore because he "no longer has any reason to stay in the Philippines".
Seeking a way back to Singapore
Abad shared in an update on Sept 21 that she intended to help Hasbi.
"I will pay for your flight from Bohol to Manila so we can fix your papers with Immigration and your embassy," she wrote.
She also shared a screenshot of her conversation with the Singaporean in which she offered to pay for his flight when he told her that he did not have any money.
Abad subsequently posted updates showing Hasbi going to an airport and being flown to Manila.
In a separate video, she brought him, alongside an American and a Nigerian who are reportedly facing similar circumstances in the Philippines, to the Bureau of Immigration Head Office in Manila.
They are currently awaiting updates from the immigration authorities.
She has since posted videos showing Hasbi having a meal at an Indian restaurant and shopping for groceries in Manila.
Her first video about Hasbi has amassed over 120,000 views and almost 2,000 likes. Many netizens have praised her for helping him return to Singapore.
Why she decided to help
The 24-year-old TikToker has posted other videos of herself helping various foreigners, like Hasbi, who are stranded in the Philippines.
She told AsiaOne that she chose to help Hasbi because he appeared to genuinely need assistance. She added that hopes to see Hasbi return to Singapore soon.
When contacted, Hasbi told AsiaOne that he was stressed about his situation and was not ready to comment further.
However, he mentioned that Abad has been sponsoring his meals and accommodation in Manila.
AsiaOne has contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Manila for more information.
