Carrie , one of Stephen King's slimmest books that was made into a nastily efficient, near-perfect shocker by Brian De Palma half a century ago, is with us again – now as an eight-episode series.

What's there to say in, oh, 300-some minutes that wasn't already covered in 98 minutes in 1976 (and the 1999 sequel, or the 2002 and 2013 remakes, the last one with Hit Girl)?
