His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim of Malaysia was awarded the Order of Al Hussein Ibn Ali, Jordan's highest civilian honor, by King Abdullah II of Jordan during a ceremony at Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur.

This prestigious award, given in recognition of significant achievements and contributions, is typically reserved for kings, princes, and heads of state.

The investiture followed a formal meeting between Sultan Ibrahim and King Abdullah II, who is on a two-day state visit to Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, was today conferred the Order of Al Hussein Ibn Ali, the Kingdom of Jordan’s highest civilian honour.

The honour was bestowed by King Abdullah II of Jordan during an investiture ceremony at Dewan Seri Maharaja, Istana Negara, here, following a one-on-one meeting between Sultan Ibrahim and King Abdullah II at Dewan Seri Negara.

According to the Royal Hashemite Court, the Order of Al Hussein Ibn Ali is awarded to kings, princes and heads of state, in recognition of their standing.

The honour is among Jordan’s royal medals, which are bestowed on prominent international figures, as well as individuals recognised for their achievements and contributions.

King Abdullah II is currently on a two-day state visit to Malaysia, which began yesterday, at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim. — Bernama
