Lee previously went viral in June after he was slammed for filming matcha spill on an MRT train.
Family and friends have taken to Lee's most recent Instagram post, shared on Aug 19, to leave tributes following news of his death.
One user, who identified herself as Lee's aunt, revealed that he had died in his sleep.
Describing Lee as a "kind and cheerful soul", she commented: “He went to bed as usual but, sadly, he never woke up. ... You left us far too soon, but your love and memories will forever remain in our hearts. Rest peacefully."
Fellow local influencers and creators also offered their condolences in the comments, including lifestyle content creator Ian Jeevan, singer-host Kenji Ng and social media personality Fauzi Azzhar.
Jeevan wrote: "Fly high my guy. Still in shock and can’t believe you left us so soon. Will always remember you for your radiant smile and laughter king. RIP."
Local influencer Boblet Lee Pichay, also known as @boblet01, shared a tribute Instagram post on Saturday, writing: "Fly high, my sayang. Heaven gained an angel today. Will miss you Wilfred."

Many netizens expressed shock at the sudden news, offering their condolences and mourning his passing.
One user wrote: "We were just talking last week… I still can’t believe you’re gone. Rest in peace, buddy. We will miss you dearly."
Another tribute Instagram post by user @sheearam on the same day captioned: "You lived so close to me. We would get late suppers together and hang (out) until the sun came up, until my parents called asking where I was.
"I would always tell them i was with Wilfred because you are my comfort person."
"Thank you for being kind to me when I wasn’t kind to myself. You’ve made my life better by being in it and now you’re gone. I hope we cross paths again in the afterlife and in my next life," added @sheearam.
Lee was a graduate from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Applied Drama and Psychology, according to the Singapore Repertory Theatre.
His wake will be held from Sept 5 to 7 at Singapore Casket's premises on Lavender Street, according to an obituary shared in the comments. The funeral ceremony will take place on Sept 7 afternoon.

据新加坡话剧团称，李毕业于新加坡理工学院，获得应用戏剧与心理学文凭。
根据评论中分享的讣告，他的遗体告别仪式将于9月5日至7日在新加坡殡仪馆（位于薰衣草街）举行。葬礼将于9月7日下午举行。
