'Calling out all the BMW drivers': Motorcyclist slams BMW driver over alleged abrupt lane changes

A motorcyclist has called out a BMW driver for allegedly swerving between lanes in a video shared on Instagram (IG).

The video, uploaded by IG user @class2brider on Friday (Oct 9), appears to show a white BMW making abrupt lane changes along Queen Street near Bugis+ before turning into the mall's drop-off point.

At one point, the motorcycle appears to come close to the rear of the BMW as the car changes lanes. The rider can be heard honking repeatedly at the driver.

Text overlaid on the video reads, "Now, I can turn on hazard light and make a[n] illegal U-turn for parking!!", seemingly criticising the driver's alleged dangerous driving.

The video also features the text "Jam braked and stalled for this", accompanied by a poop emoji, seemingly taking a dig at the BMW driver's erratic driving behaviour.

The BMW driver does not appear to stop to check on the motorcyclist after the near miss, instead turning into the Bugis+ mall drop-off point and driving away.

It is unclear whether the motorcyclist was injured or whether the sudden braking caused any damage to the motorcycle.

Netizens urge motorcyclist to report BMW driver to Traffic Police

The video drew criticism from netizens, with one urging the motorcyclist to report the incident to the Traffic Police (TP) for dangerous driving, saying it put other road users at risk.

Another commenter quipped that BMW drivers should take "real BMW (bus, MRT, walk)", while a third expressed support for the motorcyclist, writing: "Your honk express[es] the right feeling!"
