A 20-year-old Briton has vanished after missing his flight home from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport on October 5. Bailey-Harris Singh, from Huddersfield, reportedly messaged a friend before disappearing. Eight days later, his phone remains switched off, and his family has no answers. His mother and sister have contacted the British Embassy and police without success. Meanwhile, fears are growing that he may have travelled to Pattaya. Now, his family is appealing to Thai media as the British charity Missing People launches an official appeal. No sightings have emerged, while airport CCTV and immigration checks remain unconfirmed.

A 20-year-old British man has vanished in Thailand after missing his flight home from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. Bailey-Harris Singh, from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, disappeared on October 5 after reportedly messaging a friend from the airport.

Eight days later, his phone remains switched off, and his family has no confirmed information about his whereabouts. His mother and sister have contacted the British Embassy in Bangkok and police without obtaining answers. Now, they are appealing directly to Thai media for help. His sister fears he may have travelled to Pattaya. Meanwhile, the British charity Missing People has registered his disappearance and launched an official appeal.

Bailey-Harris Singh, also identified in British media reports as Bailey Singh, had reportedly spent one week in Thailand. The young Briton was travelling alone and was due to return home on Monday, October 5. However, he never boarded his scheduled flight from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the United Kingdom.

Family fears for missing British man after his phone and location services went silent at Bangkok airport

His disappearance has left his family in West Yorkshire searching for answers thousands of miles away. His mother, Lisa Ely, and sister, Chardonnay Ely, have been unable to contact him since that day. Furthermore, his mobile telephone and location services have reportedly been switched off throughout the eight-day period.

The family says this is completely out of character for the missing man. According to his mother, Singh would not normally switch off his telephone or disable its location services. Yet both have remained unavailable since he disappeared, cutting off his family’s usual means of locating him.

The last reported contact came while Singh was at Bangkok’s main international airport. He reportedly sent a message to a friend shortly before disappearing. Subsequently, he failed to board his flight, and all confirmed contact with his family ceased.

The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear. No confirmed account has established whether Singh left the airport or where he travelled afterwards. Equally, there has been no verified explanation for his failure to board the scheduled flight.

British Embassy and police contacted as family appeals to Thai media amid fears of Pattaya journey

His family has already approached the British Embassy in Bangkok and police for assistance. However, relatives have been unable to establish whether Singh has been injured, arrested or otherwise prevented from contacting them. The absence of confirmed information has intensified their concerns.

Now, the family is turning to Thai news organisations and community groups to widen the search. They hope to reach people who may have encountered Singh after his last reported contact on October 5. In parallel, the British charity Missing People has published an official appeal concerning his disappearance.

The charity has registered the case under reference number 26-006907. Its involvement provides a formal reporting channel for anyone with information about the missing British national. Meanwhile, British media reports published on Tuesday, October 13, have brought wider attention to the family’s search.

A particular concern is the possibility that Singh travelled to Pattaya after missing his flight. His sister, Chardonnay Ely, believes he may have headed towards the coastal resort in Chonburi province. Nevertheless, there has been no independently confirmed sighting of him in Pattaya.

The city lies approximately 150 kilometres southeast of Bangkok and attracts large numbers of international visitors. However, Singh’s possible presence there remains unconfirmed. His family’s information has not established that he reached the resort or stayed anywhere in the city.

Mother and sister release urgent appeal and identifying tattoos as search for missing Briton widens

Chardonnay Ely has appealed publicly for information about her brother. “Me and my family are very worried and concerned for him and just want to make sure he is safe,” she said.

Her mother, Lisa Ely, has separately highlighted the unusual loss of telephone contact. She said her son would not ordinarily switch off his phone, making the disappearance particularly concerning. Moreover, the reported loss of location services has prevented relatives from checking his movements.

The family has circulated photographs of Singh through social media and Thailand-focused community groups. In addition, they have released a detailed physical description to assist anyone who may recognise him. The appeal covers Bangkok, Pattaya and other locations where he might have travelled.

Singh is approximately 5 ft 11 in tall, equivalent to 180 centimetres. He has curly brown hair, dark brown eyes and a goatee beard. Notably, he also has two distinctive tattoos which could help establish his identity.

One tattoo depicts a jigsaw puzzle piece on the inside of his left arm. The second features the word “eleven” behind his left ear. These markings provide two specific identifying features for anyone who believes they have encountered him.

Airport CCTV and immigration checks remain unconfirmed as family seeks missing Briton’s movements

At the time of his last reported sighting, Singh was wearing a blue top and blue tracksuit bottoms. He also had grey trainers. His family has included these clothing details in its appeals for information.

The last confirmed location reported by the family remains Suvarnabhumi Airport. There is no established account of his movements after he reportedly contacted his friend. Consequently, the period immediately following his missed flight remains central to the family’s efforts to trace him.

It is not known whether Thai police have formally opened a missing-person investigation. Similarly, there has been no public confirmation that investigators have examined CCTV recordings from the airport. Such footage could establish whether Singh left the terminal and provide information about his subsequent movements.

However, no findings from airport surveillance recordings have been publicly disclosed. There is also no confirmed information about any examination of Thai immigration records. Those records could establish whether Singh subsequently departed Thailand through another airport or border crossing.

No confirmed sightings, arrest or injury as relatives widen their appeal across Thailand for answers

For now, there is no verified evidence that Singh has left the country. Equally, there is no confirmed report establishing that he remains in Bangkok or has travelled to Pattaya. His movements after October 5 have not been publicly established.

There has also been no verified evidence that Singh was arrested or suffered an injury. Likewise, no confirmed information indicates that he became the victim of a crime. His family has been unable to establish whether any such circumstances explain his disappearance.

British media coverage on October 13 described the family’s growing concern after eight days without contact. The reports highlighted his missed flight, switched-off telephone and the possibility of a journey to Pattaya. Separately, the Missing People charity published identifying information and its official appeal reference.

The family’s efforts now extend beyond British diplomatic and police contacts. Through Thai media, relatives are seeking information from anyone who saw Singh at the airport on October 5. They also want to hear from people who may have encountered him elsewhere in Thailand.

Family seeks clues to final airport message as missing Briton’s switched-off phone deepens concern

In particular, the appeal seeks information about his movements after the reported message to his friend. That communication is the last known contact described in the available reports. Since then, no confirmed information has established where he went or why he failed to return home.

The family’s concerns are heightened by the complete loss of telephone contact. Singh would ordinarily have kept his phone switched on, according to relatives. Instead, both his mobile telephone and location services have been unavailable since his disappearance.

His mother and sister have therefore been unable to establish his location through their normal means of communication. Despite contacting the British Embassy and police, they remain without confirmed information about his safety. Their public appeal is now directed towards people in Thailand who may recognise him.

Missing People charity maintains appeal as family awaits news eight days after Bangkok disappearance

The British charity Missing People continues to list Singh as missing under reference 26-006907. Anyone with information can contact the organisation through its official reporting service. Its UK telephone helpline is 116 000.

By Tuesday evening, October 13, no confirmed report had established that Singh had been located. Nor had any verified information explained his failure to board the October 5 flight. The possibility that he travelled to Pattaya remains unconfirmed.

Eight days after Bailey-Harris Singh was due to leave Bangkok, his family is still searching for answers. His last reported contact came from Suvarnabhumi Airport, shortly before his scheduled departure. His telephone remains switched off, and his subsequent movements are unknown. Now, his mother and sister are appealing to Thai media and the public to help establish his whereabouts.
