Coroner’s Court sets Jan 15, 2027 for verdict in Zara Qairina inquest

The Coroner's Court in Kota Kinabalu has scheduled January 15, 2024, for its decision on the inquest into Zara Qairina Mahathir's death.

Coroner Amir Shah Amri Hassan announced this after discussions with all involved parties, who must submit their written arguments by December 15, 2023.

A clarification on these submissions is set for January 8, 2024, with the final verdict to be delivered in Bahasa Melayu.

KOTA KINABALU, Oct 16 — The Coroner’s Court here has set January 15 next year to deliver its decision on the inquest into the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir.

Coroner Amir Shah Amri Hassan fixed the date today following discussions with all parties involved in the inquest.

He said the parties had been given until December 15 to file their written submissions.

Amir Shah also said that the court had fixed January 8, 2027, for the clarification of the submissions.
