Pakatan Harapan (PH) has not yet reached any definitive agreement on potential political collaboration with other parties for the upcoming Melaka state election on November 14.

PKR secretary-general Datuk Fuziah Salleh announced that while seat allocation among PH's component parties—PKR, DAP, and Amanah—has been finalized, with PKR set to contest in nine seats, the coalition is expected to compete for more than 20 state seats overall.

PH chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is slated to reveal the candidate list on October 24.

The election process includes nomination on October 31, early voting on November 10, and polling on November 14.

KUANTAN, Oct 18 — Pakatan Harapan (PH) has yet to reach any concrete agreement on possible political cooperation with other parties for the November 14 Melaka state election.

Datuk Fuziah Salleh, who is Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) secretary-general, said, however, that seat-allocation negotiations among its three component parties — PKR, DAP and Amanah — had been finalised.

She said PH was expected to contest more than 20 state seats, with nine allocated to PKR.

“So far, there has been no concrete agreement on political cooperation with other parties. Seat allocation negotiations among PKR, DAP and Amanah have been completed,” she said.

Fuziah, who is also deputy domestic trade and cost of living minister, was speaking at a press conference after closing the Akses Peruncitan 2026 programme at a hotel here today.

She said PH chairman and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was scheduled to announce the coalition’s list of candidates in Melaka on October 24.

The Election Commission has set October 31 for nomination, November 10 for early voting and November 14 for polling.

In the 2021 state election, Barisan Nasional (BN) won 21 of the 28 seats to form the state government, while PH secured five seats and Perikatan Nasional (PN) won two. — Bernama
