The TuJu Highway Navigation Application team is undertaking recovery and enhancement efforts, expected to be completed by November 6, following recent navigation disruptions.

The management has assured users that updates will be shared through official channels and apologized for the inconveniences faced.

Emphasizing their commitment to improving service stability and safety, TuJu appreciates user feedback and strives to meet expectations.

This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's endorsement of TuJu as a safer alternative to the Waze application, due to data security concerns associated with Israel's laws.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 24 — The technical team of the TuJu Highway Navigation Application is currently carrying out recovery and improvement work, targeted to be completed by Nov 6 at the latest.

The TuJu management, in a statement, said that updates on the recovery work will be communicated through TuJu’s official channels, while other functions in the application can continue to be used as usual for now.

In this regard, TuJu apologises to users who have experienced disruptions in navigation functions over the past few days.

“We take the difficulties experienced seriously and appreciate the feedback and criticism from users regarding our service.

“Our priority is to ensure that the navigation function operates stably and smoothly again, and meets the travel needs of users,” the statement said yesterday.

The statement also said TuJu is grateful for the patience and support of the users, while every report and feedback helps them identify issues and implement the necessary improvements.

“We will continue to strive to meet user expectations so that TuJu becomes one of the best navigation applications prioritising the safety of Malaysian citizens’ data,” the statement read.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was reported to have encouraged the public to use TuJu, developed by the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), as an alternative for road navigation needs.

The alternative measure was proposed following the risk to information security and the movement data of the people due to the use of the Waze application, which is bound by the laws of the Israeli government. — Bernama
