PUTRAJAYA, Oct 24 —The RTS Link Malaysia-Singapore Cross-Border Joint Exercise Field Training Exercise (FTX) 2026 will be held at the RTS Link Bukit Chagar Station and Wadi Hana Depot in Johor Bahru on Tuesday (Oct 27).

The National Security Council (MKN), Prime Minister’s Department, said the exercise would run from 9 am to 5 pm and be conducted in collaboration with Malaysia Rapid Transit System Sdn Bhd (MRTS Corp) and RTS Operations Pte Ltd (RTSO).

In a statement today, MKN said the exercise aimed to test and assess preparedness, response capabilities and coordination among Malaysian and Singaporean security agencies and emergency services.

“It is being held ahead of the full operation of the RTS Link and will also test the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cross-border incident management, jointly developed by Malaysia and Singapore,” MKN said.

The public has been advised to remain calm if they see security personnel, operational assets or exercise activities during the simulation.

MKN said there was no actual threat and all activities were simulations conducted solely for the exercise. — Bernama
