A motorcyclist and his pillion rider died in hospital after a multi-vehicle collision along Tampines Avenue 12 on Thursday (Oct 29) night.
The police are currently tracing the whereabouts of a male car driver and his female passenger, who allegedly fled the scene before officers arrived.
In response to AsiaOne's queries, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident involving two cars and a motorcycle at about 10.35pm.
A 24-year-old male motorcyclist and his 24-year-old female pillion rider were unconscious when taken to Changi General Hospital, where they subsequently died.
A 25-year-old woman, who was driving one of the cars involved, was conscious when taken to Sengkang General Hospital.
Police said the male driver and female passenger of the other car were not at the scene when officers arrived. Preliminary investigations revealed that they had left after the accident, and efforts to establish their whereabouts are under way.
Photos circulating online showed the motorcycle wreckage in the aftermath of the accident.
Nearby, one car was seen overturned on its side on a grass verge.
The driver and passenger of this flipped car are believed to have escaped after crashing their vehicle through a road divider and into a motorcycle and car, reported Shin Min Daily News.
Police investigations are ongoing.

一名 24 岁的男性摩托车驾驶员和一名 24 岁的女性乘客被送往樟宜综合医院时已失去意识，随后两人均不幸身亡。
其中一辆涉事车辆的驾驶员是一名 25 岁的女子，被送往盛港综合医院时意识清醒。
警方表示，另一辆车的男性司机和女性乘客在警员到达现场时已不在场。初步调查显示，两人在事故发生后逃离现场，目前警方正在努力寻找他们的下落。
网上流传的照片显示了事故发生后摩托车的残骸。
附近，一辆汽车侧翻在路边的草地上。
据《新明日报》报道，这辆翻车的汽车撞穿道路隔离带，撞上一辆摩托车和一辆汽车后，车上的司机和乘客据信已经逃生。
警方调查仍在进行中。
