SHAH ALAM, Oct 31 — A decision regarding the Confidence and Supply Agreement (CSA) between the Selangor State Government and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) is expected to be announced in the near future once all negotiation details are finalised.

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said that negotiations with Bersatu are ongoing and a foundational understanding has been reached, though several sensitive matters still need to be refined.

He noted that the cooperation established at the Federal level has facilitated efforts to implement a similar approach in Selangor to ensure state administrative stability.

“There are indeed negotiations with Bersatu, and if successful, they will provide en bloc support while remaining as the opposition. The fundamental principles are already in place; it is just that there are a few slightly sensitive details that need to be considered,” he said.

He told reporters this after the Appreciation Ceremony in conjunction with the 22nd Malaysia Games (Sukma) and Para Sukma 2026 at the Raja Muda Musa Hall here yesterday.

Elaborating further, Amirudin said he is ready to finalise the agreement as soon as all related matters are resolved with the party leadership.

“Wait a moment; it is already in place at the Federal level, making it easier for us to implement at the Selangor level. That is indeed the way to ensure cooperation or mutual understanding. Therefore, I am ready for this at any time,” he said.

The proposed implementation of the CSA in Selangor was previously brought forward to ensure smooth state administration – including matters related to the budget – through cross-party cooperation. — Bernama
