IPOH, Nov 1 — The number of flood victims in the Kerian district has decreased, with 18 individuals from seven families remaining at a relief centre (PPS), down from 25 individuals from nine families yesterday.

The Secretariat of the Perak State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) said that as of 8am today, all the victims are still sheltering at the PPS at Sekolah Kebangsaan Titi Serong.

The victims, all from Taman Aman Sejahtera and Taman Desa Aman 1, have been housed at the centre since last Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecast thunderstorms this afternoon across all districts, except Kerian, Manjung, and Bagan Datuk. — Bernama
