Ringgit opens slightly lower against greenback on stronger US economic data

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened slightly lower against the US dollar on Friday, weighed by stronger-than-expected US economic data which supported the greenback.

At 8 am, the local currency eased to 4.0680/0745 against the greenback from 4.0630/0670 Thursday’s close.
