A lorry driver was trapped in his seat after the vehicle knocked over several guardrails and an overhead traffic light along Loyang Avenue on Wednesday (Sept 16).
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told AsiaOne it was alerted to the accident, which occurred near the Old Tampines Road exit leading to Loyang Avenue, at about 10.55am.
Rescuers used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the driver. A total of two people were then taken to Changi General Hospital.
Footage filmed by AsiaOne reader Eric Chin from the upper deck of a public bus shows part of the lorry mounted on the pedestrian sidewalk.
Workers were seen holding up the frame of the fallen traffic light, while an EMAS recovery truck was also at the scene.
An alert sent by the MyTransport.SG app at 11.35am said more than 10 bus services were delayed by up to 20 minutes because of the accident.

MyTransport.SG 应用程序于上午 11 点 35 分发出警报称，由于事故，超过 10 趟公交车延误，延误时间长达 20 分钟。
