Shin Ji-eun wins bronze in cycling for S. Korea's 1st medal

NAGOYA, Japan — South Korea's first medal of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games came from road cycling on Sunday, as Shin Ji-eun grabbed bronze in the women's individual time trial event.

Shin finished third with a time of 36:56.14 at Shinshiro Cycling Road Course in Shinshiro, some 60 kilometers east of the main host city, Nagoya.

Rinata Sultanova of Kazakhstan claimed the gold medal in 36:23.72, and Zhang Hao of China won silver in 36:28.40.

Sunday is the first day of the medal race following the opening ceremony from the previous night.

South Korea is targeting around 45 gold medals at this year's Asiad, which will conclude Oct. 4.

日本名古屋——韩国在爱知-名古屋亚运会上获得的首枚奖牌来自公路自行车项目，申智恩在女子个人计时赛中获得铜牌。

在距离主要主办城市名古屋以东约 60 公里的新城自行车公路赛道上，申以 36 分 56.14 秒的成绩获得第三名。

哈萨克斯坦选手丽娜塔·苏丹诺娃以 36 分 23 秒 72 的成绩获得金牌，中国选手张昊以 36 分 28 秒 40 的成绩获得银牌。

周日是颁奖典礼的第一天，开幕式于前一晚举行。

韩国的目标是在本届亚运会上获得约 45 枚金牌，本届亚运会将于 10 月 4 日闭幕。
