The ministry values tuition centre operators' contributions and remains open to collaboration for children's education in Malaysia.
PUTRAJAYA, Sept 20 — The Education Ministry (MOE) will submit a proposal to review the ownership structure of tuition centres for Cabinet consideration next week.
In a statement today, MOE said the provisions on tuition centre ownership were detailed in the Private Educational Institutions Policy Book published in 2006.
“MOE takes note of the various views raised regarding the provisions and is always open to hearing the views of all parties.
“MOE believes that the education sector should remain open to all parties who wish to contribute to the development and learning of children in Malaysia,” it said.
The ministry also said it appreciated the contributions of tuition centre operators over the years and would continue to work with all parties in the interest of children’s education in Malaysia. — Bernama

教育部今天发表声明称，有关补习中心所有权的规定已在2006年出版的《私立教育机构政策手册》中详细规定。
“教育部注意到各方对相关规定提出的各种意见，并始终愿意听取各方的意见。
“教育部认为，教育领域应该对所有希望为马来西亚儿童的发展和学习做出贡献的各方保持开放，”声明中写道。
教育部还表示，感谢补习中心经营者多年来的贡献，并将继续与各方合作，以促进马来西亚儿童的教育。——马新社
