SINGAPORE – A 22-year-old man was arrested at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for voyeurism on the evening of Sept 19.
In a response to media queries, the police said they received a call for assistance at 66 Nanyang Crescent at about 7.30pm.
The police said a 22-year-old man was arrested for voyeurism, and police investigations are ongoing.
According to NTU’s website, the university’s Banyan Hall is located at the address.
A user on Reddit forum r/NTU reported seeing five security personnel patting a man down at around 8.30pm at “NH gym”, which is believed to refer to the university’s largest gym on campus, North Hill gym.
The gym, which can be accessed by NTU students and staff, is located in Binjai Hall. Both Binjai Hall and Banyan Hall are part of the university’s North Hill Halls.
Another Reddit user said that the security personnel have been at the gym since around 7.30pm that day . The user had first seen two security officers , before they were joined by two police officers later.

警方在回应媒体询问时表示，他们于晚上7点30分左右接到南洋弯66号的求助电话。

根据南洋理工大学网站的信息，该大学的榕树楼位于该地址。
Reddit 论坛 r/NTU 上的一位用户报告称，晚上 8 点 30 分左右，在“NH gym”看到五名保安人员对一名男子进行搜身，据信“NH gym”指的是该大学校园内最大的体育馆——北山体育馆。
健身房位于宾杰楼内，供南洋理工大学学生和教职工使用。宾杰楼和榕树楼都属于大学北山宿舍区。
另一位Reddit用户表示，保安人员从当天晚上7点半左右就一直在健身房。该用户先是看到两名保安，之后又来了两名警察。
