For 32 years, Sunway College has been VU’s exclusive international delivery partner in Malaysia for its Bachelor of Business twinning programme. Students can enjoy an Australian education closer to home, with the flexibility to transfer to the university’s campus in Melbourne at any point during their studies.

The strengths of Malaysian and Australian education complement one another, bringing together a strong academic foundation with critical thinking, practical skills and a holistic approach to learning.

VU takes a different approach to university learning with its award-winning VU Block Model, where students focus on one unit at a time before moving on to the next.

With each block dedicated to a single subject, students can give their full attention to the content, complete their assessments and receive feedback within days.

Beyond the structure, the classroom experience is designed to be highly engaging. Students attend interactive, workshop-style classes three days a week, with smaller groups that encourage participation and closer interaction with lecturers. It is a learning environment built around focus, discussion and active involvement rather than simply sitting through lectures.

The streamlined structure also gives students more flexibility to balance their studies with work, family, personal commitments and the experiences that make college life meaningful.

The results speak for themselves as VU’s Block Model demonstrated strong outcomes, with data showing pass rates 13% higher among first-year students and 5% higher among second-year students compared with those studying under the traditional model.

Students in the Sunway–VU programme can complete one subject in a one-month block at the university’s campus in Melbourne at no additional tuition cost, gaining international experience without committing to a full semester overseas while saving nearly RM10,000.
