Polls have shown Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed doing worse with Black voters than Joe Biden did in 2020 or Kamala Harris did four years later. So while other battleground Democrats publicly reject Harris’ help, he’ll campaign with her today in Detroit. While they’ve clashed in the past over issues like the war in Gaza, El-Sayed says it shows “even where there had been disagreements in the past, the things that unite us as Democrats are so much bigger.”
