Sarawak radio presenter dies at age 47 after collapsing at Kuching RTM office

Azrani Azmi, a radio presenter for RED FM at RTM Sarawak, passed away at 47 after being found unconscious at his office.

Colleagues discovered him at 8:40 p.m. and transported him to Sarawak General Hospital.

The family is awaiting post-mortem results to ascertain the cause of death, as Azrani had no critical illnesses apart from high blood pressure.

His burial is planned at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery.

KUCHING, Sept 23 — A radio presenter for RED FM at Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) Sarawak, Azrani Azmi, 47, died after being found unconscious at his office at RTM Sarawak last night.

His younger sister, NurFarrah Hanna Azmi, said colleagues found him at about 8.40pm and rushed him to Sarawak General Hospital.

“As of this morning, the family is still awaiting the post-mortem results to determine the cause of death.

“He did not suffer from any critical illnesses, although he had high blood pressure,” she told Bernama.

His remains are expected to be buried at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery. — Bernama
