Rapid KL restored Putrajaya Line service after removing a train with a brake malfunction at Jalan Ipoh Station.

Train waiting times may increase as service frequency is being regulated.

Crowd control measures were implemented at Kelana Jaya Line stations due to congestion.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 — Rapid KL says service on the Putrajaya Line has been restored after the train that experienced a brake system malfunction at the Jalan Ipoh Station was removed from service.

The operator issued the update through its official Facebook page this morning.

Rapid KL said the alternative train arrangements activated earlier in the day had been discontinued following the removal of the affected train.

“Train waiting times may be slightly longer while the service frequency is being regulated,” the operator said.

Rapid KL also reported congestion at several Kelana Jaya Line stations, including Sri Rampai, Wangsa Maju, Setiawangsa, Jelatek, Masjid Jamek and Pasar Seni.

The operator said crowd control measures and passenger flow management were implemented at the affected Kelana Jaya Line stations to ensure safety.

Rapid KL later confirmed that the manually operated train at Kelana Jaya Station had been removed from service.

The operator said train frequency on the Kelana Jaya Line was being re‑regulated and that operations would return to normal.

Rapid KL added that further updates would be issued through its official social media channels.
