Loke's decision follows a DAP meeting concerning Najib Razak's conditional pardon.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim intends to discuss Loke's resignation but advises against DAP withdrawing from the government.
HANGZHOU, Sept 23 — DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke said he remains firm in his decision to resign as Transport Minister.
The Seremban MP said he would hand in his resignation letter upon returning home from China.
“The decision has been made. I will submit the resignation letter to the Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) when I return home,” he told reporters briefly after arriving in Hangzhou today.
He is currently accompanying the Prime Minister on a three-day working visit to Shanghai and Hangzhou at the invitation of the Chinese government.
Loke offered to resign following a DAP Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting on Saturday in response to the conditional pardon granted to former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
He said the other DAP ministers and deputy ministers would remain in the Unity Government.
Speaking to Malaysian media while travelling from Shanghai to Hangzhou by high-speed train, Anwar said he would not rush into a decision on Loke’s intention to resign as Transport Minister, adding that he wanted to hear Loke’s explanation first.
The Prime Minister added that DAP should not bow to calls from parties he described as having political interests for it to withdraw from the government.

杭州，9月23日讯——民主行动党秘书长陆兆福表示，他仍然坚持辞去交通部长一职的决定。
芙蓉国会议员表示，他将在从中国返回后递交辞呈。
“我已经做出决定。回国后，我将向首相（拿督斯里安华·易卜拉欣）递交辞呈。”他今天抵达杭州后简短地告诉记者。
他目前正应中国政府邀请，陪同总理对上海和杭州进行为期三天的访问。
周六，在民主行动党中央执行委员会（CEC）会议后，陆兆福表示愿意辞职，以回应前首相拿督斯里纳吉·敦·拉扎克获得有条件赦免一事。
他表示，其他民主行动党部长和副部长将继续留在团结政府中。
安华在乘坐高铁从上海前往杭州的途中接受马来西亚媒体采访时表示，他不会仓促对陆兆福辞去交通部长一职的意图做出决定，并补充说他想先听听陆兆福的解释。
总理补充说，民主行动党不应屈服于那些他认为出于政治利益而要求其退出政府的政党的呼吁。
