Employee at Punggol motor show allegedly found vaping, HSA investigating

The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) has launched an investigation after a man working at a motor roadshow in Punggol was allegedly filmed vaping.

The incident reportedly occurred at around 7.20pm on Aug 30 at a Dongfeng Motors roadshow in Waterway Point, according to an anonymous user who sent the footage to sgfollowsall.

The video, which was uploaded to Instagram on Tuesday (Sept 22), shows a man, reportedly a salesman working at the event, seated alone at a table with a vape-like device concealed in his hands.

A family with children can be seen at the table behind him while he takes several puffs from the device.

"Before this video was taken, we noticed he kept taking puffs from his device," the user wrote, adding that there were many people walking around him.

The user added that a report with HSA was also filed, but that they have not received any updates.

Volt Auto, the authorised distributor for Dongfeng Motors in Singapore, told Chinese publication Lianhe Zaobao that it has identified the man in the video.

It is aware of the video circulating online and that incident is being handled internally by the company, adding that it will cooperate with the authorities.

In response to queries, HSA said that it is aware of the incident and has launched an investigation, reported Zaobao.

据一位匿名用户向 sgfollowsall 发送的视频显示，该事件据称发生在 8 月 30 日晚上 7 点 20 分左右，地点是东风汽车在 Waterway Point 的路演现场。

这段视频于周二（9 月 22 日）上传到 Instagram，视频显示一名男子（据称是活动现场的销售员）独自坐在桌旁，手中藏着一个类似电子烟的设备。

在他吸了几口电子烟的时候，可以看到他身后的桌子旁坐着一家人和孩子。

“在拍摄这段视频之前，我们注意到他一直在吸电子烟，”该用户写道，并补充说当时他周围有很多走动的人。
