Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has allocated RM2.8 million to repair infrastructure at 14 Islamic education institutions in Kedah.

Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, aims to provide a safer and more comfortable learning environment for students.

An additional RM250,000 has been allocated for hadith-related programmes, coordinated by the Kedah Implementation Coordination Unit.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 26 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has approved an additional allocation of RM2.8 million this year to repair basic infrastructure at 14 Islamic education institutions across Kedah.

Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said the allocation was to ensure students could study in a more comfortable and safe environment.

“The Madani Government will continue to uphold the eminence of Islam by strengthening Islamic education institutions and fostering the study and understanding of hadith in society,” he said in a Facebook post yesterday.

In the same post, Anwar also announced a RM250,000 allocation to implement hadith-related programmes.

He said both allocations would be coordinated by the Kedah Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department (ICU JPM).

“Hopefully, this effort will benefit the students and continue to cultivate a culture of knowledge in society,” he added. — Bernama
