Mercedes car catches fire at Sime Underpass

A internal combustion engine (ICE) car caught fire at Sime Underpass near Adam Road at about 4.55pm on Saturday (Sept 26).

In response to AsiaOne's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said its firefighters used a water jet and a hosereel to put out the fire.

A video of the incident shared with SG Road Vigilante and posted on its Facebook shows a Mercedes-Benz C-Class with smokes and flames coming out from the front bonnet.

Flames later spread to the cabin area of the car.

According to SCDF, no injuries were reported in the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

9月26日（星期六）下午4点55分左右，一辆内燃机汽车在亚当路附近的西姆地下通道起火。

针对 AsiaOne 的询问，新加坡民防部队 (SCDF) 表示，其消防员使用水枪和软管卷盘扑灭了火灾。

SG Road Vigilante 分享并发布在其 Facebook 上的事件视频显示，一辆奔驰 C 级轿车的前引擎盖冒出浓烟和火焰。

随后火势蔓延至汽车驾驶室内部。

据新加坡民防部队称，事件中无人受伤。

火灾原因正在调查中。
