Their Majesties, Sultan Ibrahim and Queen Raja Zarith Sofiah of Malaysia, have extended their heartfelt condolences on the passing of Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, the spouse of former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Their Majesties offered prayers for her soul to be blessed and placed among the righteous, while wishing strength and patience upon her family.

Dr. Siti Hasmah passed away at the National Heart Institute at the age of 100, leaving behind seven children.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 28 — His Majesty, Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia today expressed their condolences on the passing of the late Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali.

In a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar Facebook page, Their Majesties prayed that the deceased be blessed by Allah SWT and placed among the righteous and the faithful.

Their Majesties also prayed that the family of the deceased be granted strength, fortitude, and patience in facing the loss of their loved one.

Dr Siti Hasmah, the wife of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, passed away at the National Heart Institute (IJN) this morning.

News of her passing was confirmed by her son, Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir, when contacted by Bernama today.
