PETALING JAYA: National riders Nurul Izzah Izzati Mohd Asri, Nurul Aliana Syafika Azizan and Nur Alyssa Mohd Farid blazed the lanes with a new national record en route to qualifying for the final in the women's team sprint event at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
The trio posted the second fastest time of 48.023s in the first round to reach the Asian Games final for the first time at Izu Velodrome today and denying hosts Japan in the process.
