Republican Sen. Pete Ricketts is facing an unexpectedly tough reelection race against independent Dan Osborn in Nebraska. One reason the normally ruby-red state is up for grabs: the economic challenges voters there face because of the war in Iran. Still, Ricketts says that “a country that chants death to America can’t be allowed to have a nuclear weapon. They’ve killed tens of thousands of their own people, they’d kill hundreds of thousands of ours. I think a lot of people understand the danger that the largest state sponsor of terrorism poses to us.”
