Lindsay Clancy’s defense filed an emergency request Friday asking the Supreme Judicial Court to order the trial court to further question a holdout juror or remove the juror from the jury.
The filing stated the juror is “biased” and was refusing to follow the court’s instructions on reasonable doubt, citing jury notes to the court. The request was denied and the trial ended shortly after in a mistrial with a deadlocked jury.
