ERL: KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit fares to rise from Jan 1

Starting January 1, 2027, fares for KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit will be revised for the first time since 2016, with the one-way adult fare from KL Sentral to KLIA increasing from RM55 to RM65 due to rising operational costs.

Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) intends for this adjustment to help sustain high service standards and fund service enhancements, offering discounts of up to 30% in collaboration with partners.

The fare changes comply with ERL's concession agreement with the government.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 — Fares for both KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit will be adjusted from January 1, 2027, marking the first revision since 2016.

In a statement today, Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) said the standard one-way adult fare for the KLIA Ekspres between KL Sentral and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) will increase from RM55 to RM65, amid higher operating and maintenance costs.

“This fare adjustment will support our efforts to maintain high service standards and invest in improvements to enhance passengers’ experience, as we are committed to providing the fastest and most reliable connection between KL Sentral and KLIA,” ERL chief executive officer Datin Noormah Mohd Noor said.

For the KLIA Ekspres service, the adult return fare between KL Sentral and KLIA will be RM118, while fares for children aged six to 15 will be RM29 one-way and RM53 return.

Children below six will continue to travel for free.

ERL also said it was working with partners to offer ticket discounts of up to 30 per cent from January 2027, with further details to be announced once arrangements are finalised.

The company said the fare adjustment was made in accordance with its concession agreement with the government.

吉隆坡国际机场快线（KLIA Ekspres）成人往返吉隆坡中央车站和吉隆坡国际机场的票价为 118 马币，6 至 15 岁儿童单程票价为 29 马币，往返票价为 53 马币。

六岁以下儿童仍可免费乘车。

ERL 还表示，正在与合作伙伴共同努力，从 2027 年 1 月起提供高达 30% 的票价折扣，具体细节将在安排最终确定后公布。

该公司表示，此次票价调整是根据其与政府签订的特许经营协议进行的。
