As a decade-long Telok Blangah resident, it is with both excitement and apprehension that I watch two major housing redevelopments come knocking on my doorstep.

Over the next decade or so, some 20,000 new homes could be built in the area with the development of the Berlayar estate and Gillman Barracks.
