Family, police appeal for information on missing 83-year-old man last seen in Katong

The police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of an 83-year-old man, Seah Miang Hin, who was last seen in Katong.

Police said on Friday (Sept 4) afternoon that Seah was last seen at Block 14 Haig Road at around noon.

The address is the location of Haig Road Market and Food Centre.

Speaking to AsiaOne on Saturday afternoon, Seah's daughter, Deborah, said her father is believed to have dementia and suffers from high blood pressure, requiring him to take his medication regularly.

He was last seen wearing a red and white checked shirt with black pants.

According to the family, he walks slowly with a shuffle and requires frequent rests in between walking.

He responds to his full name.

Deborah and her family, along with their friends, have been looking for him since yesterday afternoon with barely any rest.

警方于周五（9月4日）下午表示，Seah最后一次被人看到是在中午左右，地点位于海格路第14座组屋附近。

该地址即为海格路市场和熟食中心所在地。

周六下午，谢的女儿黛博拉在接受AsiaOne采访时表示，她的父亲据信患有痴呆症和高血压，需要定期服用药物。

他最后一次被人看到时身穿红白格子衬衫和黑色裤子。

据家人描述，他走路缓慢，步履蹒跚，需要经常休息才能走动。

听到自己的全名他会有反应。

从昨天下午开始，黛博拉和她的家人以及朋友们就一直在寻找他，几乎没有休息过。
