SINGAPORE, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Mercedes driver George Russell was fastest in the only practice session for the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix on Friday as the Briton looks to bounce back from a disappointing retirement in Sepang last weekend.

SINGAPORE, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Mercedes driver George Russell was fastest in the only practice session for the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix on Friday as the Briton looks to bounce back from a disappointing retirement in Sepang last weekend.
Russell won last year's race in Singapore from pole but the Briton is set to start at the back of the grid on Sunday due to a power unit penalty following an engine failure five laps from the finish in Malaysia.
