“利加德”问题:宗教事务部长表示,《古兰经》绝不能受到嘲弄

Minister Zulkifli Hasan emphasises the Quran must be respected as it is a divine guide for Muslims and any mockery of it is irresponsible.

The word "lighad" in Surah al-Hasyr means "tomorrow" and should not be misinterpreted or mocked.

Authorities are investigating a social media influencer who mocked the word "lighad" used by the Prime Minister in the 2027 Budget announcement.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 — The sanctity of the Quran must always be upheld as it serves as the ultimate source of divine guidance for Muslims, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan said.

He said mocking or insulting the Quran was an irresponsible act that could hurt the religious sensitivities of Muslims.

Responding to the viral issue concerning the word “lighad”, which appears in Verse 18 of Surah al-Hasyr, Zulkifli said the word meant “tomorrow” and had a contextual meaning pertaining to preparations for the Hereafter.

“The term carries a specific meaning in the Quran and should not be distorted or made a subject of mockery by associating it with other words in a manner that demeans the religion.

“Therefore, all parties must understand the true meaning and context of Quranic verses and refrain from mocking the sacred text,” he said in a statement today.

Zulkifli said mutual respect and responsible communication were essential to preserving religious sanctity and maintaining harmony in a multireligious society.

He said any conduct deemed disrespectful towards Islam should be brought to the attention of the relevant authorities for investigation and appropriate action under the law.

A social media influencer questioned Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s use of the word “lighad” when tabling the 2027 Budget in the Dewan Rakyat and sarcastically associated it with another word.

Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil said yesterday that the police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) were seeking to locate the individual to record a statement to assist in the investigation. — Bernama
