KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 — The Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, will not attend the Conference of Rulers meeting scheduled from October 13 to 15, the Negeri Sembilan Palace said today.

In a statement, Royal Comptroller Datuk Azizi Mohamad Ali said attendance at the Conference of Rulers meeting did not require an invitation.

He also clarified that Tuanku Muhriz had not received any letter or formal invitation from the meeting’s chairman, Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah, to attend the pre-council meeting.

Azizi said Tuanku Muhriz had decided not to attend the meeting and would instead focus on state affairs, particularly the ceremony for the appointment of the new Undang of Jelebu.

The palace also stressed that it had not previously issued any media statement on the matter to any party or media organisation.
