Selangor schools in Klang, Petaling, Gombak and more closed tomorrow as haze worsens

Schools in several districts in Selangor, including Klang and Kuala Selangor, will be closed tomorrow due to haze, according to the Selangor State Education Department.

However, schools in Hulu Selangor and Sabak Bernam will remain open, though outdoor activities in these districts are banned.

SHAH ALAM, Oct 15 — Schools under the Klang, Kuala Selangor, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, Gombak, Sepang, Petaling Perdana and Petaling Utama district education offices will be closed tomorrow due to the haze.

However, the Selangor State Education Department (JPNS) said in a statement today that schools under the Hulu Selangor and Sabak Bernam district education offices will operate as usual.

“Nevertheless, all outdoor activities in both districts are prohibited.

“Parents, guardians, students and the wider education community are advised to take note of this announcement and refer to JPNS channels for the latest updates,” the statement said. — Bernama
