Malaysia Airlines achieved a significant milestone by winning the titles of World's Best MICE Airline and Asia's Best MICE Airline at the 2026 World MICE Awards.

The accolades, presented during a gala in Jamaica, underscore the airline's expanding influence in the MICE travel sector and enhance the Malaysia Aviation Group's commercial strategy.

Chief Executive Bryan Foong highlighted the importance of these wins, crediting staff performance and emphasizing the airline's commitment to partnering with the travel industry.

These awards contribute to Malaysia Airlines' growing recognition globally and align with its strategic goal of entering the top 10 global airlines by 2030, supported by its strong operational performance.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 — Malaysia Airlines has clinched a double win at the 2026 World MICE Awards, taking home the titles of World’s Best MICE Airline and Asia’s Best MICE Airline — its first victories in both categories.

The recognition, announced at a gala in Jamaica on Oct 12, highlights the carrier’s growing clout in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) travel market.

Industry watchers say the awards bolster Malaysia Aviation Group’s (MAG) efforts to sharpen its commercial edge and reassure corporate travel partners of its reliability.

MAG’s Airline Business chief executive Bryan Foong called the wins “an important milestone”, crediting staff across the group for delivering consistent service and stressing the airline’s focus on deepening collaboration with the travel trade.

The honours add to a string of recent accolades for MAG, from customer experience awards in Malaysia to brand recognition in South Korea and Hong Kong, alongside nods at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.

Operational performance remains a key selling point: Malaysia Airlines posted an average on time performance of 91.7 per cent this year, hitting 94.16 per cent in September. Analysts note such reliability is crucial as MAG pursues its Long Term Business Plan 3.0, which aims to propel the flag carrier into the world’s top 10 airlines by 2030.
