Malaysia's film industry recorded a 107.7% surge in viewership to 14.83 million in 2025 compared with 7.14 million the previous year, says Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching.
She said local film box office collections also hit a record high of RM247.95 million in 2025, up from RM166.57 million in 2024.

马来西亚通讯部副部长张念群表示，马来西亚电影业的观影人数预计将在2025年增长107.7%，达到1483万人次，而上一年为714万人次。
她表示，本地电影票房收入在 2025 年也将创下 2.4795 亿令吉的历史新高，高于 2024 年的 1.6657 亿令吉。
