PHV crashes through perimeter wall of Joo Chiat landed house

A 37-year-old man is assisting with police investigations after his private-hire car crashed into the perimeter wall of a landed house in Jurong on Sunday (Oct 18) morning.

The incident happened at about 11.25am along Tembeling Road in Joo Chiat.

A photo of the incident seen by AsiaOne shows a Toyota hatchback lodged in the perimeter wall of the landed house.

The wall had partially collapsed from the impact, and an overground distribution box belonging to SP Group was also dislodged.

A man could be seen being questioned by an attending Traffic Police officer.

In response to AsiaOne's queries, the police said the car is believed to have self-skidded, adding that no injuries have been reported.

"A 37-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations," the police said.

Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.

亚洲新闻社看到的一张照片显示，一辆丰田掀背车卡在了这栋独立式住宅的围墙上。

撞击导致墙体部分坍塌，SP集团的一个地面配电箱也被撞松。

可以看到一名男子正在接受到场交警的询问。

针对AsiaOne的询问，警方表示，据信该车辆是自行打滑造成的，并补充说，目前尚未接到人员受伤的报告。

警方表示：“一名37岁的男性汽车司机正在协助调查。”

警方对这起事故的调查仍在进行中。
