Mother and two sons found dead after being trapped in Kluang house fire

A tragic fire in a two-storey terrace house in Taman Titiwangsa, Kluang, claimed the lives of a mother, Noraini Ibrahim, 49, and her two sons, aged 18 and 11, on the night of September 10th.

The Johor Fire and Rescue Department responded to the emergency call at 10:44 pm, with personnel arriving shortly thereafter.

Despite prompt efforts and firefighting resources, the blaze, which consumed about 50 percent of the house, resulted in the victims being confirmed dead at the scene.

The fire was brought under control by 12:32 am.

KLUANG, Sept 10 — A mother and her two sons were killed in a fire at a two-storey terrace house in Taman Titiwangsa here last night.

The victims were identified as Noraini Ibrahim, 49, Khairul Nurhaziqq Khairulnizam, 18, and Khairul Nurhadiff, 11.

The Johor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), in a statement, said it received an emergency call at 10.44 pm before 14 personnel from the Kluang Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) arrived at the scene about five minutes later.

“The fire involved a two-storey terrace house measuring 16 feet by 70 feet, with about 50 per cent of the house’s structure engulfed in flames.

“There were three victims trapped inside the house, and all of them were confirmed dead by Health Ministry (MOH) personnel at the scene,” it said.

The fire was brought under control at 12.32 am.

The operation also involved two SITRAK fire engines and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit. — Bernama
