Moderate to heavy thundery showers expected over several parts of Singapore on Sept 11 afternoon

Heavy rain is expected over the northern, eastern, and central areas of Singapore on Friday (Sept 11) afternoon.

In a weather update issued at 2.08pm, the National Environment Agency (NEA) said moderate to heavy thundery showers are expected over these areas between 2.20pm and 3.15pm.

No flash flood warning is current in force.

Checks on the Meteorological Service Singapore's weather radar at 2.50pm show rain clouds over the western and eastern regions of Singapore.

In its fortnightly weather forecast on Sept 1 , the weatherman had said that localised short-duration thundery showers are expected over parts of the island in the late morning and afternoon on some days amid dry weather conditions.

气象员在 9 月 1 日发布的两周一次的天气预报中表示，在干燥天气条件下，岛上部分地区预计在某些日子的上午晚些时候和下午会出现局部短时雷阵雨。
