Heavy departure traffic at Woodlands Checkpoint due to tailback from Malaysia

There is currently heavy departure traffic at Woodlands Checkpoint.

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said in a social media post at Friday (Sept 18) 10.35am that the traffic situation is due to tailback from Malaysia.

Checks on the Land Transport Authority's (LTA) traffic cameras show heavy traffic along the Causeway, but traffic along Woodlands Crossing and Woodlands Flyover appears to be smooth.

In its post, ICA also advised travellers to expect delays and check traffic conditions before embarking on their journey.

Motorists are reminded to cooperate with ICA officers, observe lane discipline and follow traffic rules.

During the September school holidays, 27 motorists were caught for various traffic offences at Woodlands Checkpoint.

These offences include queue cutting and displaying other dangerous road behaviour.

A total of 16 motorists were referred to the Traffic Police for further action.

提醒驾驶者配合移民与关卡局官员，遵守车道纪律和交通规则。

9 月份学校假期期间，兀兰关卡有 27 名司机因各种交通违法行为被抓获。

这些违法行为包括插队和表现出其他危险的道路行为。

共有16名驾驶员被移交交通警察部门作进一步处理。
