PETALING JAYA: Kertih Terengganu Industrial Park (KTIP), developed by MGB Bhd, a leading construction, property development and Industrialised Building System (IBS) precast concrete manufacturer and a subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Bhd, has attained Managed Industrial Park (MIP) accreditation, making it the first MIP-accredited industrial park on Malaysia’s East Coast.

With a gross area of approximately 407.6ha (1,007) acres in Kertih, Terengganu, KTIP is strategically positioned as a premier industrial destination, underpinned by established infrastructure and connectivity, with strong potential to attract both domestic and international investments.

Offering a 99-year land tenure, KTIP obtained planning approval (Kebenaran Merancang) in 2025. This marks an important milestone in KTIP’s planning and development progress.

The MIP accreditation marks a significant milestone in KTIP’s development, elevating its profile as a professionally managed industrial destination and enhancing its appeal to investors seeking opportunities to establish a presence on Malaysia’s East Coast.

The accreditation reflects MGB’s structured approach to industrial park management, with a focus on infrastructure, business competitiveness, environmental sustainability and overall operational readiness, strengthening KTIP’s position as a strategic industrial hub.

To build on this milestone, MGB and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) came together at a collaboration ceremony to promote KTIP to domestic and international investors.

Through MIDA’s extensive investment promotion network, the collaboration is expected to broaden KTIP’s exposure to the investment community, facilitate engagement with potential investors and support investor enquiries and outreach.

The ceremony was jointly officiated by MGB Bhd group executive chairman Tan Sri Ir Dr Lim Hock San, MIDA investment promotion executive director Faizal Jalaludin and TI Properties Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Awasi Mohamad.

Also present were MGB Bhd group managing director Datuk Lim Hock Guan, executive director and chief executive officer Datuk Lim Lit Chek, executive director and deputy chief executive officer Lim Kim Hoe, deputy chief executive officers Wong Tack Leong and Chew Wee Seong.

Hock San said, “Achieving MIP accreditation is an important step for KTIP and reflects our commitment to developing a well-managed, competitive and investor-ready industrial destination on Malaysia’s East Coast.

“This recognition further strengthens KTIP’s investment proposition and provides a strong foundation for us to introduce the industrial park to a wider investment community.

“Together with MIDA’s extensive investment promotion network and international reach, we believe KTIP is well positioned to attract quality investments, create new business and employment opportunities and contribute to the continued industrial and economic growth of Terengganu.”

Faizal said, “MIDA is pleased to collaborate with MGB in promoting KTIP as an investment destination on Malaysia’s East Coast.

“Through our investment promotion network, we look forward to promoting KTIP to potential investors and facilitating their investment enquiries and requirements.”

The collaboration between MGB and MIDA is expected to further enhance KTIP’s visibility among domestic and international investors and support efforts to attract quality investments that can contribute to the continued industrial and economic development of Terengganu and the wider East Coast region.
