Melaka Pakatan wraps up seat talks, awaits final approval from presidential council

Melaka Pakatan Harapan (PH) has finalized seat allocations among its state-level component parties for the forthcoming Melaka State Election, as announced by Melaka PH chairman Adly Zahari.

The final arrangement will be confirmed following discussions with the PH Presidential Council and election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

While the current agreement allots eight seats to Amanah, the overall strategy for the state election will be disclosed after final approval from the coalition's highest level.

MELAKA, Sept 27 — Melaka Pakatan Harapan (PH) has confirmed that it has completed seat allocations among its state-level component parties for the upcoming Melaka State Election.

Melaka PH chairman Adly Zahari said the final arrangement would only be concluded after the PH Presidential Council, state PH and PH election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari hold discussions.

“In any case, we will wait until next week. Election director (Amirudin) is already aware of the decision. We will take it to the coalition’s highest level for finalisation.

“So far, the seat allocation within PH remains as agreed at the state level, such as Amanah being allocated eight seats,” he told the media after the party’s Ceramah Perdana in Bukit Baru here last night.

Also present were Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu and Melaka PKR State Leadership Council acting chairman Adam Adli Abdul Halim.

Adly added that the Melaka state election strategy would be announced once seat allocation was finalised. — Bernama
