3 taken to hospital after car allegedly self-skids in Seletar

Three people were taken to hospital on Sunday (Sept 27) evening after a car self-skidded along Seletar West Link.

The incident happened at about 5.20pm along the stretch of road towards Yishun Avenue 1, where Yishun dam is located.

That afternoon, moderate to heavy thundery showers fell across many areas in Singapore, leaving road surfaces wet.

When AsiaOne reached the scene at about 7.15pm, at least one traffic police expressway patrol car, two patrol motorcycles and a tow truck were present.

The car that skidded had mounted the kerb, and was stopped against a road sign.

In response to AsiaOne's queries, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force said the 38-year-old male car driver and his two passengers, aged 5 and 36, were taken conscious to Sengkang General Hospital.

The police added that the car is believed to have self-skidded and that the driver is assisting with ongoing investigations.

当天下午，新加坡多地普降中到大雨，雷阵雨导致路面湿滑。

亚洲新闻网记者于晚上 7 点 15 分左右到达现场时，至少有一辆高速公路交警巡逻车、两辆巡逻摩托车和一辆拖车在场。

发生侧滑的汽车冲上路缘，撞到了路牌上停了下来。

针对 AsiaOne 的询问，警方和新加坡民防部队表示，38 岁的男性汽车司机及其两名乘客（分别为 5 岁和 36 岁）被送往盛港综合医院时意识清醒。

警方补充说，据信该车辆发生自行打滑，司机正在协助进行调查。
