The Road Transport Department (JPJ) of Malaysia will suspend all services provided through the MYEG Group from October 5 due to unresolved contractual obligations.

The suspension, affecting My E.G.

Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Berhad, will shift transactions to official JPJ channels such as counters, the MyJPJ app, and mobile units.

Services impacted include renewals of motor vehicle and driving licenses, among others, while certain transactions will require alternative arrangements.

Despite the suspension, JPJ assures the public of service continuity through its official digital and physical platforms.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 — The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will suspend all of its services offered through the MYEG Group from October 5, citing contractual obligations that remain unfulfilled or unresolved.

In a statement today, JPJ said the suspension covers My E.G. Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Berhad, which act as collection agents on behalf of the department, and will take effect at 12.01am on Sunday.

“The decision was made after taking into account compliance with the terms and conditions stipulated in the agreement, as well as obligations that have yet to be fulfilled or resolved by the companies concerned,” JPJ said.

As a result, all JPJ services currently available through MYEG Group channels will be suspended from October 5.

The department said motorists would still be able to carry out transactions through official and alternative channels, including JPJ counters, the MyJPJ app, its public portal, kiosks, Mobile JPJ units and post offices, depending on the type of transaction.

These include renewals of motor vehicle licences, commonly known as road tax, and driving licences, as well as applications for learner driving licences and the checking and payment of traffic summonses.

Vehicle ownership transfers can meanwhile be carried out through JPJ counters, selected kiosks, the JPJ public portal and eAuto for certain transactions.

JPJ said bookings for the Computerised Highway Code Test, or KPP01, made through MYEG before October 5 would remain valid and could proceed as scheduled.

New bookings from October 5 must instead be made through KPP test centres at driving institutes nationwide.

For non-Malaysians paying traffic summonses at the Malaysia-Singapore border, Mobile JPJ units will be available at the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex and Bangunan Sultan Iskandar in Johor from 8am to 10pm.

MYEG has for years provided online access to a range of government-related transactions, including JPJ services such as road tax and driving licence renewals.

The latest move also comes as more JPJ transactions are available directly through the department’s own digital channels, including the MyJPJ app and public portal.

JPJ urged the public to use the official channels provided to ensure transactions could be carried out smoothly and securely, adding that it remained committed to ensuring continuity in service delivery.
