The father of a 16-year-old student who was found deceased at a school in Yong Peng, Malaysia, seeks justice for his daughter, Irene Sofiya.

Mohd Khairool Faisal Khyar is entrusting the investigation to the police and relevant authorities, expressing gratitude to those who have shown support.

He recalls receiving news of the incident while working in Bangi and urges against spreading inaccurate information about the case.

BATU PAHAT, Oct 5 — The father of a Form Four student who was found dead at a school in Yong Peng here hopes justice will be served for his daughter.

Mohd Khairool Faisal Khyar, 42, said the family was leaving the investigation entirely to police and the relevant authorities to ensure justice for his daughter, Irene Sofiya, 16.

“We are grateful to everyone who came and we hope justice can be served for my late daughter,” he was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian.

He was speaking after her burial at the Kampung Arshad Muslim Cemetery in Yong Peng here yesterday.

Mohd Khairool Faisal said he only learned about the incident at about 6pm on Saturday after his eldest sister, Siti Nur Faeza Khyar, 45, contacted him and told him that Irene Sofiya, fondly known as Fiya, had been found in critical condition before being pronounced dead.

“At the time, I was working in Bangi before rushing back to the village to get more information,” he said, according to the Malay daily

He said the last time he saw Fiya was about two weeks ago and she had shown no changes in behaviour.

“In fact, Fiya looked cheerful and was happy to be studying,” he said.

Mohd Khairool Faisal also urged the public not to spread inaccurate speculation about the incident involving his daughter, Sinar Harian reported.
