Sultan Ibrahim confers top military honour on Defence Force, Army chiefs

Sultan Ibrahim conferred the PGAT award on Chief of Defence Force General Tan Sri Malek Razak Sulaiman during the Investiture Ceremony for Malaysian Armed Forces Gallantry Awards.

The ceremony, attended by the Queen and government officials, also honoured Chief of Army General Tan Sri Azhan Md Othman and four foreign military commanders.

A total of 150 recipients were honoured in the first session, with the second session on October 22 involving 490 more, totalling 640 awardees.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, today conferred the Panglima Gagah Angkatan Tentera (PGAT) award on Chief of Defence Force General Tan Sri Malek Razak Sulaiman at the 2026 Investiture Ceremony for the Malaysian Armed Forces Gallantry Awards (DKAT).

Malek Razak headed the list of 150 recipients in the first session of the ceremony held at the Throne Room of Istana Negara in conjunction with the 93rd Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Day celebrations.

The ceremony honoured the contributions, service and sacrifices of MAF officers and personnel of other ranks in fulfilling their mandate to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty and security.

Sultan Ibrahim, who is the Supreme Commander of the MAF, also conferred the PGAT on Chief of Army General Tan Sri Azhan Md Othman.

Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, graced the ceremony, which was also attended by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Defence Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali, as well as MAF service chiefs and senior officers.

During the ceremony, Sultan Ibrahim also conferred Honorary PGAT awards on four foreign military commanders.

They were Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces General Ukris Boontanondhat; Chief of the Republic of Singapore Navy Rear Admiral Sean Wat; Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force Brigadier General (Air) Haszahaidi Ahmad Daud; and Philippine Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Arthur Mirasol Cordura.

His Majesty also conferred the Panglima Setia Angkatan Tentera (PSAT) on 22 recipients, the Pahlawan Angkatan Tentera (PAT) on 30 recipients, the Kesatria Angkatan Tentera (KAT) on 49 recipients, and the Bentara Angkatan Tentera (BAT) on 43 recipients.

The conferment of the DKAT award is being held in two sessions, with the second scheduled for October 22 at Dewan Perkasa, Wisma Perwira ATM.

The second session, expected to be officiated by Mohamed Khaled, will involve 490 recipients, bringing the total number of DKAT recipients to 640. — Bernama

吉隆坡，10 月 6 日 — 马来西亚国王苏丹易卜拉欣陛下今天在 2026 年马来西亚武装部队英勇奖 (DKAT) 授勋仪式上向国防军总司令丹斯里马利克·拉扎克·苏莱曼将军授予 Panglima Gagah Angkatan Tentera (PGAT) 奖。

在为庆祝马来西亚武装部队第93个日而于国家皇宫御座厅举行的仪式第一阶段中，马利克·拉扎克位列150名获奖者之首。

此次仪式旨在表彰马来西亚武装部队军官和其他级别人员在履行维护国家主权和安全的使命中所作出的贡献、服务和牺牲。

苏丹易卜拉欣是马来西亚武装部队的最高统帅，他还向陆军总司令丹斯里阿兹汉·穆罕默德·奥斯曼将军授予了PGAT勋章。

马来西亚王后拉惹扎丽特·索菲亚陛下出席了仪式，国防部长拿督斯里穆罕默德·卡立·诺丁、国防部秘书长拿督洛克曼·哈基姆·阿里以及马来西亚武装部队各军种司令及高级军官也出席了仪式。

在仪式上，苏丹易卜拉欣还向四位外国军事指挥官授予了荣誉PGAT奖。

他们分别是泰国皇家武装部队国防军总司令乌克里斯·汶塔农达将军；新加坡共和国海军司令肖恩·瓦特海军少将；文莱皇家空军司令哈萨海迪·艾哈迈德·达乌德准将；以及菲律宾空军司令阿瑟·米拉索尔·科杜拉中将。

陛下还向 22 名获奖者授予 Panglima Setia Angkatan Tentera (PSAT)、向 30 名获奖者授予 Pahlawan Angkatan Tentera (PAT)、向 49 名获奖者授予 Kesatria Angkatan Tentera (KAT) 以及向 43 名获奖者授予 Bentara Angkatan Tentera (BAT)。

DKAT 奖的颁发将分两场进行，第二场定于 10 月 22 日在 Wisma Perwira ATM 的 Dewan Perkasa 举行。
