GrabFood rider gets trapped in lift, thanks operator for rescue: 'It was shaking so hard'

A GrabFood rider was left trapped in a lift which was "shaking so hard", before a lift operator pried open the doors to rescue him about 25 minutes later.

Shawn, in his early 30s, shared the ordeal in a TikTok video uploaded on Monday (Oct 5), which has since garnered more than 16,000 views.

He said he had delivered an order and was taking the lift down when it suddenly started shaking heavily.

"Even though it was shaking so hard, I thought it was going to be safe because it was still going down," he said in the video.

The lift stopped and he became stuck on the second floor.

Shawn said he had another order to deliver and had already messaged the recipient to let them know he was stuck in the lift and that they would have to wait for their food.

The video then cuts to a lift operator prying open the lift doors.

"Finally!" Shawn exclaimed as he stepped out of the lift, shaking his head.

In the video caption, Shawn thanked the lift operator, saying: "Big thanks to the lift operator who kept their promise of rescuing me in 25 mins."

一名 GrabFood 外卖员被困在“剧烈摇晃”的电梯里，大约 25 分钟后，电梯操作员撬开电梯门将他救了出来。

30岁出头的肖恩在周一（10月5日）上传的TikTok视频中分享了他的遭遇，该视频至今已获得超过16000次观看。

他说他已经送完餐，正乘电梯下楼时，电梯突然开始剧烈摇晃。

“虽然摇晃得很厉害，但我以为会很安全，因为它还在往下坠落，”他在视频中说道。

电梯停了，他被困在了二楼。

肖恩说他还有另一份订单要送，他已经发信息告诉收件人他被困在电梯里了，他们得等一会儿才能拿到食物。

视频随后切换到一名电梯操作员撬开电梯门的画面。

“终于！”肖恩走出电梯时摇着头喊道。

在视频说明中，肖恩感谢了电梯操作员，他说：“非常感谢电梯操作员，他信守承诺，在 25 分钟内救出了我。”
